Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resume.

Building Community Through Clubs

At Forest Hills Elementary, we are proud to offer a variety of extracurricular clubs designed to engage students, nurture their interests, and strengthen our school community based. These enriching opportunities are made possible through the generosity and dedication of our teacher sponsors, who volunteer their time and talents to provide meaningful experiences for our scholars at no cost to families.

Our teachers go above and beyond the school day to share their passions, skills, and expertise with students through clubs that inspire creativity, leadership, athletics, service, and personal growth. These opportunities allow students to explore new interests, develop confidence, build friendships, and discover their unique strengths.

At Forest Hills Elementary, we believe that every child deserves to feel connected and valued. Clubs and Activities

Art

The Forest Hills Elementary Art Club is a creative space where students can explore their imagination, develop artistic skills, and express themselves through a variety of art forms. Club members participate in engaging, hands-on projects that introduce them to different techniques and styles while encouraging creativity and innovation.

The Art Club fosters confidence, perseverance, and self-expression while providing opportunities for students to showcase their talents and celebrate their unique perspectives.

Whether creating individual masterpieces or working together on school-wide displays, our young artists are inspired to dream big, take creative risks, and share their vision with the Forest Hills community.

At Forest Hills Elementary, we believe that creativity is a powerful tool for learning, and the Art Club helps students discover that every artist has a unique story to tell.

Basketball

One of our most popular clubs is Basketball Club! The Basketball Club provides an excellent opportunity for students who are passionate about the game and eager to grow as athletes and teammates. Whether students are developing their skills for the first time or already enjoy playing basketball, the club provides a supportive environment where they can strengthen their abilities, build confidence, and share their enthusiasm for the sport with fellow Rangers.

Students also have the opportunity to practice and play on Forest Hills Elementary's beautiful on-campus basketball courts, giving them an exciting space to develop their skills, enjoy friendly competition, and foster a love for the game.

Board Games

The Forest Hills Elementary Board Game Club offers students a fun and engaging opportunity to connect with peers, develop critical thinking skills, and enjoy friendly competition in a welcoming environment. Through a variety of age-appropriate board games, students learn how to strategize, solve problems, make thoughtful decisions, and think creatively.

Board Game Club also helps students strengthen important social skills, including communication, teamwork, sportsmanship, and self-control. As students take turns, follow rules, and work through challenges together, they build perseverance, respect for others, and meaningful friendships.

Whether students enjoy strategy games, cooperative challenges, or classic favorites, the Board Game Club provides a space where they can learn, laugh, and grow while making new friends and creating lasting memories.

At Forest Hills Elementary, our Board Game Club combines fun and learning, helping students become thoughtful thinkers, gracious competitors, and positive members of our Ranger community.

Choir

The Forest Hills Elementary Choir provides students with an exciting opportunity to discover the joy of music, develop their vocal talents, and perform as part of a team. Through singing, students build confidence, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the performing arts while having fun and making lasting friendships.

Choir members learn a variety of songs and musical techniques that help strengthen listening skills, teamwork, and self-expression. Students work together to create beautiful performances that showcase their hard work, dedication, and school spirit.

Whether students love to sing on stage or are looking for a supportive environment to explore their musical abilities, the Choir Club welcomes all students who are eager to learn, grow, and share their voices with others.

Cheerleading

Forest Hills Elementary Cheerleading Club Soars with School Spirit!

The Forest Hills Elementary Cheerleading Club is bringing energy, enthusiasm, and school pride to our campus! Open to students in third, fourth, and fifth grades, the club provides a fun and exciting opportunity for students to build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills while representing Forest Hills Elementary.

Throughout the year, cheerleaders learn a variety of cheers, chants, motions, and routines designed to promote positive school spirit and encourage our fellow Rangers. Club members work together to develop coordination, communication, and sportsmanship while making new friends and creating lasting memories.

The Cheerleading Club is more than just cheering—it is about developing responsibility, commitment, and a positive attitude. Students learn the importance of working as a team, supporting one another, and demonstrating respect both on and off the performance area.

Whether performing at school events, celebrating student achievements, or helping create excitement around campus, our cheerleaders proudly represent Forest Hills Elementary and help make our school community stronger and more connected.

Planeteers

The Forest Hills Elementary Planeteers Club empowers students to become environmental stewards while developing a deeper appreciation for nature and conservation. Through hands-on experiences and collaborative projects, students learn the importance of protecting our environment and making a positive impact on the world around them.

Planeteers play an active role in caring for Forest Hills Elementary's Certified Wildlife Habitat, helping to maintain and enhance this special space for local plants, pollinators, and wildlife. Club members work together on campus beautification projects that promote environmental awareness while creating a welcoming and vibrant school environment.

Students also have the opportunity to learn from community experts and guest speakers who share their knowledge about wildlife, conservation, sustainability, and environmental responsibility. These experiences inspire students to become informed leaders and advocates for the natural world.

At Forest Hills Elementary, our Planeteers Club encourages curiosity, teamwork, and service while helping students develop a lifelong commitment to caring for their

community and the environment. Together, our Planeteers are making a difference—one project, one habitat, and one act of stewardship at a time.

Safety Patrol

The Forest Hills Elementary Safety Patrol is a prestigious leadership opportunity for fifth-grade students who consistently demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and strong character. Safety Patrol members serve as role models for their peers and take pride in helping create a safe, respectful, and welcoming school environment.

Selected students are entrusted with important responsibilities throughout the school day, including assisting with arrival and dismissal procedures, promoting school safety, and helping younger students navigate campus. Through their service, Safety Patrol members learn the value of leadership, teamwork, accountability, and community involvement.

Safety Patrol students are expected to exemplify the Ranger Way by demonstrating good citizenship, positive behavior, and a commitment to helping others. Their dedication and willingness to serve make a meaningful impact on our school community each day.

At Forest Hills Elementary, our Safety Patrol members are leaders in action—setting a positive example, building school pride, and helping ensure that every Ranger has a safe and successful school experience.

Robotics

The Forest Hills Elementary Robotics Team is an introduction to robotic engineering and computer science. Robotic Engineers are responsible for designing, testing, and building robots. Students in the robotics club work together to design, build and program robots. STEM concepts are implemented as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking.

Student Council

The Forest Hills Elementary Student Council empowers students to become leaders, role models, and active contributors to our school community. Student Council members work collaboratively to represent the voices of their classmates, promote school spirit, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment for all students.

Throughout the year, Student Council members meet with the principal to share ideas, provide student input, and discuss ways to enhance the school experience. These meetings give students an opportunity to develop leadership skills, practice effective communication, and play an important role in school decision-making.

At Forest Hills Elementary, our Student Council leaders demonstrate that every student has the power to make a difference and help shape the future of our school community.

Volleyball

The Forest Hills Elementary Volleyball Club provides students with an exciting opportunity to develop athletic skills, build confidence, and experience the value of teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. Through practices, skill-building activities, and friendly competition, students learn the fundamentals of volleyball while strengthening communication, sportsmanship, and perseverance.

Club members work on essential volleyball skills such as serving, passing, setting, and teamwork while learning the importance of dedication, respect, and a positive attitude. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, support their teammates, and celebrate both individual and team accomplishments.

The Volleyball Club promotes healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, and school spirit while helping students develop leadership skills and lasting friendships. Whether students are new to the sport or looking to improve their abilities, the club provides opportunities for growth, learning, and success.
